On December 31, I decided to take a break from FB. Not that it was taking up all my time, but I sometimes feel like it is so impersonal. You post everything out there for the world to read and most of the time you never know who reads anything about what you post. (Not that my blog is much different, but at least I feel like my blog allows me to be self-expressive whether anyone reads it or not.)
Being off FB has forced me to email and call friends so I can find out what is happening in their life. Granted it takes more time because you have to personalize it can reach out to each person. This is hard to do if you have 300 or 400 friends, like many do on FB. So I have to say that I haven’t really missed it that much. And I’ve debated whether I was going to come back or not. But I know a lot of friends miss seeing the pictures of Michael, which I know was a good venue for that. So after 53 days of being away, I have decided to visit the world of social networking again. I doubt this will become a daily habit as I have found many other valuable things to fill up my time. . . . mostly being Michael. So I’ll be back as I’m able.
He is soooo cute. I can see his Daddy in him much more now. Keep in touch!! I enjoy reading your Blog although I don’t respond all the time. Diana Goossen
